01 — Our Story

A decision made
with purpose
and people in mind.

In 2021, Charles Chenza made a choice that was equal parts business and belief. Through Wiza CMC Africa Limited, he established Wiza Avocado Farms in the highlands of Mbozi — not because it was the easiest path, but because it was the right one.

The Southern Highlands had everything the enterprise needed: volcanic soils built over centuries, altitude that forces the avocado to develop slowly and richly, and rainfall patterns that most farmers can only dream about.

02 — Our People

Built from the
community up.

The farm was never just about the fruit. From the beginning, the decision to grow in Mbozi carried a social weight — to build something that employed people from the same land it sat on. Every member of the Wiza farm team is from the local Mbozi community.

That commitment — to the land and to the people of the Southern Highlands — is what separates Wiza from a commodity supplier. It is a farm with roots, in every sense of the word.

"We didn't build this farm in spite of where we are. We built it because of where we are — and because of who is here with us."

Our Journey

How we got here.

2021
The farm is established. Charles Chenza founds Wiza Avocado Farms under Wiza CMC Africa Limited, with a deliberate focus on premium Hass cultivation in Mbozi, Songwe Region — a commercial and social decision from day one.
Roots
Community first. Local farm staff from Mbozi are brought on from the start. The volcanic plateau — sitting above 1,800 metres with consistent bimodal rainfall — proves exactly what the research promised.
Harvest
Premium Hass, export grade. The trees mature and Wiza's harvests confirm what the soil always promised — consistent, high-grade avocados meeting international buyer standards in size, texture, and flavour.
Today
Growing with purpose. Wiza Avocado Farms continues to scale — supplying local wholesalers and export buyers alike, with every fruit fully traceable back to the hands and the ground that grew it.

From tree
to shipment.

Four steps that define our commitment to quality at every stage of the supply chain.

01
Cultivation
Hass trees grown at high altitude in naturally rich volcanic soil — no synthetic shortcuts, no compromise.
02
Selective Harvest
Hand-picked at optimal maturity. Never machine-stripped. Every fruit individually assessed before leaving the tree.
03
Grading & Sorting
Sorted by size, weight, and surface quality. Export grades packed to buyer specifications.
04
Cold Chain Dispatch
Temperature-controlled packaging and logistics ensuring fruit arrives at destination in peak condition.
Traceable Origin
Every batch logged by harvest date, tree block, and grade. Full provenance documentation available for export buyers.
Consistent Supply
Staggered planting and a long harvest window from September to March means reliable supply — not just in peak months.
Direct from Farm
No middlemen. Buyers work directly with Wiza Farms — better price, better communication, better fruit.
