A decision made
with purpose
and people in mind.
In 2021, Charles Chenza made a choice that was equal parts business and belief. Through Wiza CMC Africa Limited, he established Wiza Avocado Farms in the highlands of Mbozi — not because it was the easiest path, but because it was the right one.
The Southern Highlands had everything the enterprise needed: volcanic soils built over centuries, altitude that forces the avocado to develop slowly and richly, and rainfall patterns that most farmers can only dream about.
Built from the
community up.
The farm was never just about the fruit. From the beginning, the decision to grow in Mbozi carried a social weight — to build something that employed people from the same land it sat on. Every member of the Wiza farm team is from the local Mbozi community.
That commitment — to the land and to the people of the Southern Highlands — is what separates Wiza from a commodity supplier. It is a farm with roots, in every sense of the word.
"We didn't build this farm in spite of where we are. We built it because of where we are — and because of who is here with us."
